dMAT preparation: what exists, and what does not
The dMAT is new enough that the market has not filled up yet — and most of what is being sold under the name is for a different exam. Preparation is therefore short: use the official material, then train the habits on anything.
The official material, which is the whole of it
- Preparation material and sample tasks with solutions and worked approaches, published by g.a.s.t.
- An introductory video, plus one for each of Figure Sequences, Mathematical Equations, Latin Squares and the subject module.
- The candidate information document for the current administration, covering the test centre, identity checks, rules, breaks and the APS procedure.
g.a.s.t. recommends using all of it and states that no further detail is shown during the exam. That is unusually blunt guidance and worth following literally.
What to practise alongside it, free

For that last one, write four questions about an abstract — one on what it states, one on what follows, one on what it assumes, one on what would change it — and answer them a day later. Writing the "what does it assume" question is the hard one and the one that teaches most.
The warning that matters most here
There is widespread confusion about what the dMAT is. Material sold as dMAT preparation is frequently for a medical admission test, because the name resembles others and because that is what the internet decided it was.
- If it teaches biology, chemistry or physics for medical admission, it is the wrong exam.
- If it mentions NEET-style questions, it is the wrong exam.
- If it promises past papers, they do not exist.
- If it does not mention the core module and subject module structure, it has not read the official material either.
Our own dMAT page described a German medical admission test until this guide was written. We were wrong, we corrected it, and we say so here because the same error is still in most of what you will find.
Book the stamina practice
The single most skipped piece of preparation: put two three-hour blocks in your calendar before your test date and use them. Hour three is where this exam is decided, and a room full of people who have never practised it is the field you are being percentile-ranked against.

Yes. g.a.s.t. publishes preparation material, sample tasks with solutions, and videos for each subtest and the subject module. It is the only official material that exists.
