dMAT test dates and centres in India

The first administration, as a template

The shape is worth noting even though the dates have passed: registration opened nearly three months before the test and closed eleven days before it, and certificates followed about a fortnight later. Expect a similar rhythm and plan against it.

Where you can sit it

The dMAT is offered at selected licensed g.a.s.t. test centres. In India those have included:

• Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Mananthavady, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.

Outside India, centres include Berlin and Kathmandu. The final list of centres is shown during registration, so check it there rather than assuming your city is on it.

Planning around the APS

1. Check anabin for your university and degree before anything else.
2. Start the APS, which takes weeks on its own.
3. Register for the next dMAT as soon as registration opens — the window closes days before the test.
4. Ship your APS documents; you may do this before the dMAT certificate exists.
5. Submit the dMAT certificate when it arrives. APS India issues the APS certificate only after checking it.
6. Then apply, against the university's own deadline — commonly 15 January for a summer intake.

Registration, payment, centre booking, technical support and the certificate are all handled by g.a.s.t., not by APS India and not by a consultancy. If someone offers to register you, ask why.
