Scholarships to study in Singapore for Indian students
Singapore's most significant funding is the tuition grant, and it is unusual: it substantially reduces fees in exchange for a service obligation — a commitment to work for a Singapore-registered employer for a set period after graduating.

The tuition grant is a contract
It is not a scholarship in the ordinary sense. You take a materially lower fee and accept a binding obligation to work in Singapore afterwards, with financial consequences for not doing so.
- Understand the bond length before accepting.
- Understand the liability if you leave early or do not take it up.
- Weigh it against your plans, which is a genuine decision rather than a formality — it is a good deal for somebody who intends to work in Singapore and a constraint for anyone who does not.
Other funding
- University merit awards, usually partial and competitive.
- Research scholarships at doctoral level, which can be substantial.
- Some employer-linked schemes tied to specific sectors.
Read the service obligation terms as carefully as you would a loan agreement, because that is closer to what it is.

Generally yes, and you then pay the higher non-subsidised fee. Whether that is worth it depends entirely on your plans after graduating.
