Check if you're eligible

We haven't confirmed this year's application window, and these dates move every cycle — so we won't print one. The official page is the only reliable source. Ask us and we'll track it for you and tell you when it opens.

Eligibility

Confirm this one with A*STAR directly before building a plan on it. As of October 2026 SINGA is not listed on A*STAR's own scholarships pages or on the NUS Graduate School scholarship list, and its former site at singa.a-star.edu.sg no longer resolves. What those pages do list for international PhD applicants is the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship, open to applicants of all nationalities — but carrying a condition that rules out most people applying from India: an international applicant must have completed, or be on track to complete, a Bachelor's or Master's degree at a Singapore Autonomous University. It is a route for people already studying in Singapore, not one entered from abroad.

How to apply

The A*STAR Graduate Scholarship runs up to four years and covers full tuition with a monthly allowance. Non-Singaporeans without permanent residency take on a three-year service commitment with Singapore-based companies afterwards — not tied to a named employer, but a real obligation, and the opposite of the bond-free terms SINGA was known for. Check the current position with A*STAR rather than with a scholarship listings site.
