The Doctoral Programme in the Humanities brings together all the fields of research in the humanities represented at the University of Helsinki. The programme hosts an exceptionally extensive research community that investigates the entire spectrum of humanity from different parts of the world and from different eras, from prehistory to the present and even the future. Alongside basic research in the humanities, the doctoral programme supports multidisciplinary endeavours where humanistic perspectives interact with other disciplines.
