MSc Cyber Security

The course covers information governance, technology risk management and countermeasures to cyber attack, including IoT security, mobile device security, cryptography and the human factors in security systems. Teaching takes place in industry-standard network studios with isolated networks and dedicated server rooms for practical testing. Entry normally requires a first degree at 2:2 minimum in a related discipline such as computer science, cyber security or software engineering, or equivalent qualifications and relevant experience. What the fee covers: the international full-time rate, per year. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Before you budget: the page prints 'International £17,000 a year' full-time for 2026-27, against a UK rate of £8,365 a year. Full-time is one year with January, May or September starts; the part-time route is two years and is not compatible with a standard student visa.
