Nursing studies at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK) are carried out in multicultural groups, with both English and Finnish used as languages of instruction. Our pedagogical approach is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which enables you to develop your Finnish language skills while studying nursing. This prepares you for clinical placements in Finnish healthcare and helps you become familiar with Finnish culture, society and working life.As a Registered Nurse (RN) graduating from SEAMK, you will have the knowledge and skills to work in various healthcare settings with patients, clients and their families and as a member of an interprofessional team. You will also learn to develop nursing practice responsibly using evidence-based knowledge.SEAMK’s Degree Programme in Nursing combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning and clinical practice through skills training, simulations, authentic patient cases and clinical placements. You will develop competence in safe, ethical, evidence-based and person-centred nursing, including health promotion, clinical nursing, medication safety, rehabilitation, patient counselling and interprofessional collaboration. The programme also prepares you for the digital future of healthcare, including the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence, digital health services and health technology. Your studies are complemented by multidisciplinary projects, a Bachelor’s Thesis and opportunities for international study or clinical placements.The degree comprises 210 ECTS and is designed to be completed in 3.5 years.
