International Business

In the International Business programme at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK) you will learn business skills with a focus on the international operations of companies and organisations. You will gain competencies in planning, running and developing a business in a global environment. The study programme is based on a deep understanding of entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises. You will obtain an insight into digital business models and processes.In the first year, you will learn about business operations by working in a virtual enterprise, which is formed by a group of students from different nationalities. Students plan, run and develop a virtual companies and operate in a business network. You will also develop your language skills in English and in other languages of your choice and learn the basics of Finnish.In the second year of studies, you will deepen your knowledge of different areas of international business operations and management. Double degree students and visiting lecturers from partner universities contribute to your learning experience.During your third year, you begin tailoring your degree to fit your career goals through specialized coursework, hands-on experience, and international opportunities: Specialization Track: Choose your core focus from global trade, industrial management, international marketing, sustainable management, digital business, applied business finance, or sport & e-sports business. Practical Training: Apply your theoretical knowledge in a real-world corporate environment through a professional work placement. Global Mobility: Expand your perspective by completing an exchange semester at one of our partner universities worldwide, or earn a double degree by studying at partner institutions in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Spain, or Bulgaria. In the last semester you will finalize your bachelor’s thesis and present the results in the thesis seminar. SEAMK - the best university for youIn recent years, SEAMK has performed well in the nationwide graduand feedback questionnaire (AVOP), which shows that our students are satisfied with studying at SEAMK.
