Why it is usually the weakest item
It arrives after an hour of concentration, it carries no score, and candidates have been told to treat the samples as formalities. The result is that the one recording a human will watch is often the one with the least left in the tank.
- Know it is coming and keep something back for it.
- Sit up and speak at normal volume; fatigue shows first in energy.
- Structure it — a position, two reasons, a close.
- Finish properly rather than trailing into silence.
What a human notices
- Whether you are easy to follow — which is mostly pace and clarity, not accent.
- Whether you answered the question asked.
- Whether you sound like someone who could take part in a seminar.
- Whether it matches the rest of your application.
Because the engine does not score it, small errors cost nothing here. Speaking continuously and finishing your thought is worth far more than accuracy.
