MSc in Data Science and Analytics

The MSc in Data Science and Analytics is a Level 9 programme run jointly by MTU's Department of Mathematics and Department of Computer Science at the Bishopstown campus in Cork. It is delivered over three semesters, each a 13-week teaching block, with modules worth 5 ECTS giving 30 ECTS per semester. Taught content covers programming, database management, statistical modelling, machine learning and data visualisation, and the programme finishes with a capstone research project applying those skills to a real problem. What the fee covers: the non-EU (international) full-time rate, per year. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.0. Before you budget: MTU's central non-EU fee page for AY 2026/2027 lists 'MSc Data Science and Analytics, MSc Cybersecurity, MSc Artificial Intelligence: EUR 15000 per year', and the course page independently shows EU EUR 7,500 and non-EU EUR 15,000. As an Indian student you pay the non-EU rate, not the EU one. The page gives the duration as three semesters, about 12 to 15 months. The non-EU application deadline is 31 May, and international students pay a EUR 1,000 deposit (EU applicants pay a EUR 750 acceptance fee) — both figures are confirmed on the course page. MTU advertises scholarships that reduce the published non-EU fee by EUR 2,500 to EUR 3,000; the fee shown is the published rate before any scholarship, and MTU states it does not currently offer full scholarships.
