About this programme
The MSc in Artificial Intelligence is a one-year, 60-credit Level 9 programme delivered full-time at MTU's Bishopstown campus in Cork. It takes a practical, hands-on approach across machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, machine vision, metaheuristic optimisation, decision analytics, big data processing, knowledge representation and robotics and autonomous systems. Students complete an AI research project that may be academic or industry-focused. What the fee covers: the non-EU (international) full-time rate, per year. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: not stated on the course page — MTU's international admissions pages set the English requirement. Before you budget: the course page states Irish/EU 'EUR 6,695 + EUR 7 USI levy' and non-EU international 'EUR 15,000'; as an Indian student you pay the non-EU rate. MTU's central non-EU fee page for AY 2026/2027 corroborates it. The course is delivered over two 30-credit semesters. An acceptance fee of EUR 500 is payable if you are offered a place, and it is deductible from the course fee. The non-EU application deadline is 31 May 2026 and the Irish/EU deadline is 6 September 2026. Entry requires a Level 8 honours degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computing or a cognate discipline, plus strong mathematics and advanced Python coding ability.
