About this programme

CBU's MBA in Community Economic Development is a two-year, 48-credit programme delivered on the Sydney campus, with a heavier front-loaded course structure of 15 credits per semester in year one. The programme applies business and management education to community economic development. CBU lists Winter 2027, Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 intakes with application deadlines of 1 December 2026, 1 June 2027 and 1 August 2026 respectively. Off-campus delivery locations are also offered at different fee rates. What the fee covers: the international full-time rate for year one only — 30 credits, ten 3-credit courses. CBU's 2026-2027 international table states CAD 1,827.60 tuition plus a CAD 1,152 international differential per 3-credit course at 15 credits a semester. Year two is lighter, at 18 credits, and cheaper. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.5 overall with no individual band below 6.0; or TOEFL iBT 80 (no score below 20) for tests taken before 21 January 2026; or Duolingo 120; or PTE 59; or CAEL 60. Before you budget: two different official totals exist for this degree, and they do reconcile. The programme page states international on-campus tuition of CAD 47,278.68 for the two years, while the cost-breakdown page states Total Year 1 CAD 32,266.30, Total Year 2 CAD 19,643.78 and a programme total of CAD 51,910.08. The CAD 47,278.68 is tuition plus differential only; the CAD 51,910.08 is all-in with compulsory fees — International Medical Plan A at CAD 1,283 a year, the one-time SSOB Master's Program Fee of CAD 440, student union and other charges. Budget CAD 51,910.08. This is CBU's most expensive master's, and it sits well outside a INR 25 lakh total budget. Entry: the programme page states 'Bachelor's Degree with a B+ (75% average) from a recognized university', which is stricter than CBU's general master's floor, and international applicants additionally need GMAT 500 or GRE 304, three reference letters, a two-page statement and a resume.
