About this programme
The course combines engineering and management for graduates targeting senior technical and managerial roles, using industry-standard software and live sector issues drawn from case studies and collaborating organisations. Students complete a specialist research project. Entry requires a second-class honours degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience. A three-year part-time route is available from September only. What the fee covers: the international full-time rate, per year. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0. Before you budget: international full-time is £19,200 and UK is £11,200. Note that the UK rate on this course is higher than the £9,700 UK rate on Portsmouth's computing courses, while the international rate is identical. The English requirement is also higher here than on the computing courses — IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each band, not 6.0/5.5. The September start is 12 months and the January start is 16 months. International part-time is £6,400 per year over three years, which is a per-year figure rather than a cheaper total.
