The University of Manitoba's MSc in Computer Science is a two-year thesis-based degree in Winnipeg. The real gate is the supervisor: this is a thesis-only degree, and UM's page says 'Applicants require a letter of support from a faculty member who is willing to act as their supervisor should they be accepted for admission.
