Psychology of Physical Activity, Health and Wellbeing

PsyAct is the only university-level programme in sport and exercise psychology in Finland. The two-year master's degree programme (120 ECTS credits) offers courses in:Exercise Psychology (theories and techniques of physical activity and health behaviour change, applications of physical activity promotion)Sport Psychology (psychology of coaching, group dynamics, emotional regulation in sport)Enabling studies (intercultural interaction skills, integrated research communication, multilingual and intercultural communication, language studies)Optional studies from a large selection of courses, including studies in general psychologyThe main objective of the PsyAct programme is to educate highly qualified academic experts for the growing field of sport and exercise psychology. It also qualifies the graduated student to apply for postgraduate (PhD) studies.
