About this programme
UCM's MS in Computer Science is a 30 credit hour degree that the university says can be completed in as little as 18-24 months, full-time or part-time. Foundational coursework covers algorithms, operating systems, databases and compilers, after which students choose one of three tracks: General Computer Science (covering mobile computing, web development and big data), Software Development, or Cloud Computing (AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, with security architecture and cost management). The degree is offered on campus at Warrensburg and Lee's Summit. What the fee covers: the figure shown is not an annual rate UCM publishes. UCM's programme page prints a total programme cost of $16,510 for the 30-credit degree, footnoted as calculated on 2025-2026 rates for a student taking fewer than 9 credit hours a semester, and the figure shown here is that total spread over 24 months. Budget the total of $16,510, not the per-year number: the page advertises finishing in 'as little as 18-24 months', and finishing in 18 months means paying nearer $11,000 a year for the same total. Fee year: the rate schedule runs Fall 2026 to Summer 2027, but the $16,510 total is stated on 2025-26 rates, so the two do not share a year. English requirement as published: TOEFL iBT 79, or IELTS Academic 6.0, or Duolingo 120, or Oxford ELLT 7. Which per-credit rate applies to you: UCM's official schedule lists a Non-Resident graduate rate of $645.00 per credit hour, a CS/CIS Graduate rate of $520.00 and a Missouri Resident rate of $430.00. Every course in this degree carries a CS prefix, and the Board of Governors FY2027 schedule settles it — its footnotes read 'Excludes Business Graduate, CIS Graduate, and CS Graduate Programs', 'Non-resident fees, if applicable, will be waived' and 'Includes CS, CIS, SE, CYBR, and DSA prefixes'. So the $520 CS/CIS rate applies to you rather than the $645 non-resident rate: at a full-time 9 credit hours a semester that is about $9,360 a year, against about $11,610 at the $645 rate. UCM states that all these rates exclude mandatory, technology, testing, programme and course fees, so those come on top. Before you budget: UCM's own international admissions page separately publishes an estimated yearly expense of $24,887 for Computer Science, CIS and IT, Cybersecurity, Big Data Analytics and Data Science students living on campus — that is an all-in living-inclusive number, not tuition. UCM is very likely the cheapest option listed here, which is exactly why the rate is worth one confirming call before you commit. Graduate applicants must hold a 3.0 cumulative GPA for prior graduate coursework to be admissible. Where the dates and entry requirements come from: the deadlines come from UCM's international graduate applicants page (https://www.ucmo.edu/future-students/admissions/international-admissions/international-prospective-students/prospective-graduate-international/index.php), which prints them directly. This programme's own admission criteria live in catalog.ucmo.edu, which sits behind a security challenge and could not be read, so what is shown is UCM's published standard for international graduate applicants rather than a degree-specific bar. GPA and GRE figures that circulate on third-party sites are not repeated here.

UCM's published entry standard for international graduate applicants, rather than this programme's own criteria — those live only in a catalogue that could not be read: an awarded bachelor's degree from a US regionally accredited 4-year institution, or an international institution that on transcript evaluation is equivalent to a 4-year regionally accredited institution; any graduate-level coursework taken elsewhere must be at a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to be admissible.
