The Universitat de Barcelona is the oldest and, by most research measures, the strongest university in Catalonia, and it consistently sits at or near the top of Spanish national rankings. The practical effect is that a standard 60-credit master's year costs a fraction of what an equivalent UK degree costs, which makes UB unusually good value even after accounting for Barcelona's relatively high rents. Typically for the more broadly accessible Spanish universities, a recognised bachelor's in a related subject with a pass-level record (often around 55–60%) is enough; note that Spanish degrees run four years (240 ECTS), so a three-year Indian bachelor's is normally accepted only once the university checks it as giving access to master's study — worth confirming before you apply. Language is the real gate here: Spanish-taught master's usually expect around B2 or higher, English-taught ones typically IELTS 6.0–6.5, and while some universities accept a medium-of-instruction letter from your Indian university, plan on sitting the test unless yours has confirmed otherwise.
