Students can opt for a specialisation by selecting compulsory and elective subjects that match their interests and career goals. The programme also includes a student research project, offering hands-on experience in tackling real mechanical engineering challenges. A pivotal component is an industrial internship lasting at least 12 weeks, where students apply their theoretical knowledge in practical settings, crucial for their career development in preparation for the job market. For international students, a German language course is mandatory to equip them with basic language skills necessary for daily and professional life. Additionally, an advanced German course can be taken voluntarily as part of the "Studium Generale" module. The programme concludes with the development and defence of a Master's thesis. The thesis is completed under the guidance of faculty experts, allowing students to delve deeply into a specific area of mechanical engineering.
