International Separate Application.The MBA consists of a shared foundation followed by chosen specialisation field: International Business Systems or Project Management or Service Innovation & Design.In the renewal of working life, innovative projects are utilized to achieve desired changes. Projects are closely related to research, development, and innovation activities (RDI), which seek solutions to new, complex, and information-intensive situations, with the aim of generating impact in relation to content, actors, or society.During the programme, students seek solutions to new types of problems, and develop new systems, services, products, and solutions in their own work. The programme leads to a higher tertiary-level degree in business administration in the field of social sciences, business, and administration. A person who has completed the degree can use the title Master of Business Administration (MBA).The degree programme includes both blended learning and online learning. A particular focus of the programme is on the accumulation of expertise through participation in RDI projects and assignments offered by the working life. The programme is structured according to the Learning by Developing model (LbD) proposed and developed by Laurea University of Applied Sciences. It also emphasizes regional influence, which guides the orientation of RDI activities.During the studies, instructors systematically guide and provide feedback to support the student’s professional growth. The student group functions as a collaborative peer group, where reciprocal learning also takes place. The contents of RDI activities can also be integrated from participating students’ own organizations.The core competence of the programme equips the student with the ability to renew and develop content through project management. The student learns to lead projects and teams in a changing operational environment.Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree studies in international separate application begin with common competence studies (10 ECTS) and complementary competence studies (20 ECTS), after which students proceed to complete the core competence studies (30 ECTS) within three fields of education.
