In addition to joint application, separate applications offer an alternative path to education leading to a degree at Laurea. Separate applications are organized throughout the year for our various courses and degrees.Graduates can be employed by the public, private and third sector in various counselling, service, rehabilitation and prevention related tasks.Studies in the Degree Programme in Social Services are conducted in close co-operation with social services operators and service providers in different working life related projects in the Uusimaa region. In this way, the students develop connections and networks with the social services working life partners already during their studies.The Degree Programme in Social Services provides students with the expertise to work in a variety of professional social services environments and wider society, promoting social inclusion, holistic well-being, functional ability and safety of individuals, families, and communities.Through the process of familiarization with different work environments during practical work placements, students develop their professional competences and networking skills. Graduates of the programme are prepared to work in various organizations or as entrepreneurs, promoting social welfare across the public, private, and third sectors.Studies at Laurea Tikkurila focus on multicultural and multidisciplinary competencies, creating proactive future professionals who are able to positively influence society in cooperation with clients and other actors. The Degree Programme balances the requirements of educating qualified social services experts for the Finnish labor market while also providing students qualifications to work abroad. In the programme, different innovative, multisensory and creative learning methods are used to meet the study needs of diverse learners.  In addition, Laurea Tikkurila specializes in different art-based and creative methods which are increasingly valued in client work. In addition, a range of online courses are available as well.
