About this programme

Graduates holding a first degree in law, business or economics from Asia and who have good academic records are eligible to apply to join our LLM International Finance programme. Our LLM International Finance programme offers excellent interdisciplinary and practice-oriented training in the areas of European banking, securities and finance law. By studying at the ILF, you will be trained not only to deal with but also to excel in this increasingly important area where the worlds of international law and global finance meet. You will be taught by prominent professors from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main as well as by experts from the legal and financial industries. Frankfurt plays a central role in European and global finance. Students will be attending up to four courses in this programme together with the students from the LLM Finance programme, thereby enhancing interaction and communication with other international students at the ILF. During the semester as well as in the break between the winter and summer semesters, specially organised advanced Business and Legal English courses will be offered to the students. In addition, intensive management skills training courses as well as intercultural and communication courses will be offered during the semester break. There will also be many academic, social and extracurricular events at which students can interact with ILF international students participating in other ILF programmes. The ILF, which is located in Frankfurt, the major financial centre of Europe, provides the ideal location for training young professionals to deal with both current and future legal and financial challenges. Since English is the sole language of instruction, applicants must have a good command of written and spoken English. No more than 30 students will be admitted in order to ensure academic excellence and direct, personal contact between students and the faculty. https://www.ilf-frankfurt.de/llm-programs/llm-international-finance/curriculum-components
