About this programme

The course of study focuses on educating young researchers in the field of social and cultural anthropology, taking into account the scientific traditions of both Germany and France. The programme links the two Master's programmes of the respective universities. The double Master's degree programme in Anthropology ensures that students: acquire anthropological skills and research methods in two languages have the ability to apply methods and in-depth knowledge of German and French anthropological traditions  gain the ability to work independently in order to start doctoral studies The Master's programme can be started in Paris or in Frankfurt. The second and third semesters will be spent at the partner university.  First semester:  Anthropology and its Franco-German perspectives Second semester: Research methods and development of an individual research project Third semester: Field research and research evaluation  Fourth semester: Master's thesis and international research colloquium
