About this programme
The Bachelor of Nursing is a three-year, 360-credit-point degree delivered in blended and on-campus modes across Federation's Victorian locations including Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland, Mt Helen and Wonthaggi. Students complete 800 hours of supervised placement across 100 days in clinical settings with established healthcare partners. The programme is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), enabling graduates to work as registered nurses throughout Australia. What the fee covers: an international full fee-paying place — the 2026 indicative full-time fee for 1 EFTSL (120 credit points). Fee year: 2026. English requirement as published: for course entry, Academic IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in listening, reading and speaking and 6.5 in writing, or equivalent. Before you budget: make sure you are reading the right tab. The page's Domestic tab shows '2026 indicative full-time fee: $4,738', which is the Commonwealth Supported Place rate for Australian students only. The International tab shows 'International full fee-paying place — 2026 indicative full-time fee: $41,800'. As an Indian student you pay AUD 41,800, roughly nine times the domestic figure, so anyone quoting $4,738 has read the wrong tab. The degree is open to international students — Federation is CRICOS provider 00103D — and the page states plainly that it 'is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)'. Three years at the 2026 rate is about AUD 125,400 in tuition before annual increases. A registration warning that appears on the page itself: to apply for NMBA registration after you graduate, you must meet the NMBA English Language Skills Registration Standard, which requires 7 in all four IELTS Academic bands. That is stricter than the course entry requirement of 6.5 in writing, so you can be admitted to the degree and still be unable to register without further English testing.
