About this programme
This four-year, 480-credit-point honours degree is delivered in blended format at Federation's Ballarat and Mt Helen campuses. The curriculum covers electronic and power systems, renewable energy, systems analysis and protection, control systems, microgrids and energy storage. A mandatory co-operative placement of 60 days (450 hours) of paid industry experience is integrated into the coursework. The degree is accredited by Engineers Australia. What the fee covers: an international full fee-paying place — the 2026 indicative full-time fee for 1 EFTSL (120 credit points). Fee year: 2026. English requirement as published: Academic IELTS 6.0 overall, no band below 6.0 (or equivalent). Before you budget: make sure you are reading the right tab. The page's Domestic tab shows '2026 indicative full-time fee: $9,537', which is the Commonwealth Supported Place rate for Australian students only; the International tab shows 'International full fee-paying place — 2026 indicative full-time fee: $43,500', and that is the rate you pay. This is a four-year degree, so at the 2026 rate tuition alone is roughly AUD 174,000 before annual increases — by far the most expensive programme listed here, and well beyond a INR 25 lakh budget. The fee is described as indicative and applies to 1 EFTSL.
