About this programme
The degree of Magistra / Magister Legis Internationalis (LLM Int.) is awarded for a successful completion of the study of International and European Law as one of the fields of specialisation of the postgraduate Master of Laws programme. The University of Kiel offers three other fields of specialisation in the Master of Laws study programme: Basics of German Law (in German only) with the the degree of Magistra / Magister Legum (LLM) Business Law (in German only) with the degree of Magistra / Magister Legis Oeconomicae (LLM Oec) Foundations of Law (in German only) with the degree of Magistra / Magister Philosophicae (LLM Phil)

Prerequisites
In order to be admitted to the LLM programme of the Faculty of Law at Kiel University, the student must have obtained a law degree at a foreign university that corresponds to the first examination law degree obtained after successfully completing a law degree programme at a German university, or they must have successfully completed an academic degree programme with a focus in international or European law at a foreign university that corresponds to an academic degree programme at a German university (with a Master’s degree).
