Sustainable Chemical and Process Engineering

The Master's Degree Programme in Sustainable Chemical and Process Engineering offers a wide range of interesting courses needed for a successful work as an engineer in the chemical and process industries as well as in scientific research. The programme is flexible and makes it possible to focus on chemistry and materials or processes and systems, where sustainability is an important factor. The curriculum offers the students the deep knowledge needed for creating sustainable processes and products of the future.The two-year programme consists of 12 months of courses and six months of thesis work. There is a three-month summer break between the first and second academic year.In the degree programme, theoretical studies, through lectures with individual or group assignments, are combined with practical and applied work in adequately equipped laboratories. The studies are done under close personal guidance of teachers and professors. At Åbo Akademi University the students study in an international atmosphere together with domestic students as well as international exchange students from many countries.
