The Duolingo English Test appeals to Indian students for a few very practical reasons:
- Take it from home: no test centre, no travel to another city — just a quiet room, a computer and a webcam.

What Duolingo score do you need?
The DET is scored from 10 to 160 in 5-point steps. Requirements vary widely, but as an indicative guide (confirm each university):

- 130+: asked for by more selective universities and certain courses.
