What you'd be doing day to day
A family walking into a Vibedu office is often nervous and has usually been given three different answers somewhere else. You are the first impression they get of us. This role suits someone warm, organised, and happy to be the person who makes a busy office run.
Your responsibilities
- Welcome students and parents, and make sure nobody waits without knowing why.
- Handle incoming calls, WhatsApp enquiries and walk-ins, and route them to the right counsellor.
- Record every enquiry in the CRM accurately — a lost phone number is a lost student.
- Manage counsellor appointments and the office diary.
- Keep basic records and documents in order and easy to find.
What Madurai needs
- Tamil and English — this branch works in both, and students and parents here expect to ask their questions in their own language.
- Clear spoken English plus the local language of the branch.
- Any graduate degree, or a diploma with good communication.
- Basic computer skills — email, WhatsApp Web, spreadsheets.
This is a good first job. If you are organised, warm with people and willing to learn, you do not need prior experience to apply.
Training and onboarding
You learn the CRM and the enquiry flow first, because that is where a mistake costs a student. After that you pick up enough about countries, intakes and our services to answer the common questions yourself instead of passing every call on.

What qualifications do I need to work as an Education Counsellor at Vibedu?
Any graduate degree, clear spoken and written English, and the local language of the branch you are applying to. A background in overseas education, admissions or counselling is preferred but is not a requirement — we recruit freshers into this role as well.
Can freshers apply for jobs at Vibedu?
Yes, for three of our five open roles: Education Counsellor, Business Development Executive and Front Office Executive. Finance Executive asks for 2–3 years and the IELTS / Language Trainer role asks for 2–5 years, so those two are not open to freshers.
What does an Education Counsellor actually do?
You meet students and their parents, understand what they want, shortlist universities and courses that fit their marks and budget, explain fees, scholarships, intakes and entry requirements honestly, and guide the application through to the point the student flies. Everything is recorded in our CRM so nothing is lost between conversations.
What skills matter most for a study-abroad counsellor?
Being able to explain a complicated thing simply, patience with parents' questions, and the honesty to tell a student when a plan is not realistic. The country knowledge can be taught; those three are harder to train.
Does Vibedu hire for more than one branch?
