Business Development Executive Jobs in Madurai
We're hiring an Business Development Executive at our Madurai office. Experienced preferred · freshers welcome.
Apply for this roleWhy this job is worth doing in Madurai
The Madurai territory stretches across the southern districts, which means real distance between visits and families who often want to attend a seminar before they will even make an enquiry. It is a territory you build slowly, and it rewards the person who keeps turning up.
What you'd be doing day to day
Students find us through the people they already trust: their college, their teacher, a seminar they attended. This role builds those relationships. It involves real travel across Tamil Nadu and Kerala, meeting institutions, running sessions on campus, and bringing back what you learn.
Your responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges, schools and coaching institutes across your region.
- Organise and run study-abroad seminars, campus sessions and education fairs.
- Generate enquiries and develop them to the point a counsellor can take over cleanly.
- Travel regularly across your territory to meet partners face to face.
- Talk to students and parents at events, and explain honestly what we do and do not do.
What Madurai needs
- Tamil and English — this branch works in both, and students and parents here expect to ask their questions in their own language.
- Clear spoken English plus the local language of your region.
- Any graduate degree. Experience in education sales, admissions outreach or field marketing is preferred.
- A two-wheeler and a valid licence help a great deal.
Freshers who are willing to travel and genuinely want to help students are welcome. Confidence and willingness to be on the road matter more here than years on a CV.
Training and onboarding
You start by going out with someone who already has the relationships, so you see how a college conversation actually goes before you have your own. You learn our countries and courses well enough to answer a student honestly at a seminar — a BDE who cannot answer the obvious question loses the room.
Where it leads
The route is senior business development and then wider regional outreach across both states. We measure activity and outcomes, and we will tell you at interview exactly what is measured and how — rather than writing a target on a careers page that may not be the one you are given.

Questions candidates in Madurai ask us
What qualifications do I need to work as an Education Counsellor at Vibedu?
Any graduate degree, clear spoken and written English, and the local language of the branch you are applying to. A background in overseas education, admissions or counselling is preferred but is not a requirement — we recruit freshers into this role as well.
Can freshers apply for jobs at Vibedu?
Yes, for three of our five open roles: Education Counsellor, Business Development Executive and Front Office Executive. Finance Executive asks for 2–3 years and the IELTS / Language Trainer role asks for 2–5 years, so those two are not open to freshers.
What does an Education Counsellor actually do?
You meet students and their parents, understand what they want, shortlist universities and courses that fit their marks and budget, explain fees, scholarships, intakes and entry requirements honestly, and guide the application through to the point the student flies. Everything is recorded in our CRM so nothing is lost between conversations.
What skills matter most for a study-abroad counsellor?
Being able to explain a complicated thing simply, patience with parents' questions, and the honesty to tell a student when a plan is not realistic. The country knowledge can be taught; those three are harder to train.
Does Vibedu hire for more than one branch?
Yes. We are currently recruiting across all five offices — Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy and Kochi — though not every role is open in every city. Each role page lists the cities it is open in.
Which locations does Vibedu recruit in?
Coimbatore (our head office), Chennai, Madurai and Trichy in Tamil Nadu, and Kochi in Kerala.
How do I apply for a job at Vibedu?
Send your CV by WhatsApp or email, or call our HR team — all three reach the same people. Tell us the role and the city you are applying for. WhatsApp is usually the fastest way to get a reply.
What is the recruitment process at Vibedu?
Six stages: apply, screening, interview, assessment, offer and onboarding. You apply by sending us your CV. Screening is us reading it — we read every CV that reaches us. The interview is a first conversation with HR, then a meeting with the branch team, at the office you are applying to or on video if that is easier. Assessment applies to some roles only: a short practical exercise relevant to the job, and we tell you what to expect beforehand. Then the offer, and onboarding — training on our systems and on the countries and courses you will be working with.
Are there finance and accounts jobs at Vibedu?
Yes — we are hiring a Finance Executive for Kochi, Chennai and Coimbatore. It asks for 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience and working knowledge of Tally, GST and TDS.
Does Vibedu hire Business Development Executives?
Yes, across all five offices. It is a travelling role — you build relationships with colleges, schools and coaching institutes and run study-abroad sessions on campus. We take experienced candidates and freshers who are willing to be on the road.
Does Vibedu hire Front Office Executives?
Yes, for Madurai, Kochi and Chennai. Freshers can apply; we train you on our systems.
Can I apply if I have no study-abroad industry experience?
For Education Counsellor, Business Development Executive and Front Office Executive, yes. We would rather train someone who genuinely wants to help students than hire someone who already knows the jargon but not the point of it.
What does Vibedu offer besides salary?
Insurance that covers your family, Provident Fund, incentives alongside your fixed salary, and special allowances from your third year with us.
