About this programme
Wright State's MS in Computer Science requires no less than 30 semester hours of coursework, including the computer science core plus either a thesis or a non-thesis option. Areas of study include data science and big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence, visualization and analytics, and databases and data mining. The curriculum integrates theory with practical software and hardware components. The programme is run by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. What the fee covers: the non-resident (international) full-time rate. Wright State's own table lists Engineering, Business and Science graduate non-residents at a flat $13,900 per semester for 11-18 credit hours, which is $27,800 over two semesters. Tuition only — mandatory fees are not included. Fee year: this is Wright State's current published rate; the page states no academic year (read August 2026). English requirement as published: IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 79, or PTE 57, or Duolingo 110. That is the university minimum; some departments set a higher bar. Before you budget: the flat $13,900 per semester is the full-time band, and full-time is the load you must carry on an F-1 visa. Wright State labels 11-18 credit hours 'Full-time'; the part-time rate is $1,288 per credit hour for 1-10.5 hours. Both rates sit on the same official page — the Ohio-resident equivalents are $800 per hour and $8,656 per semester, which is how you can tell you are reading the international column. Neither Wright State's bursar page nor its international page states which academic year these rates cover, so treat them as current-as-published rather than confirmed 2026-27. Mandatory per-semester fees are extra: international student fee $150, campus engagement $206, counseling and wellness $20, legal services $16. Wright State's international cost sheet (https://www.wright.edu/admissions/international/graduate-tuition-and-fees) quotes $7,728 per semester, but that is based on only 6 credit hours — below full-time — and its two-semester all-in total of $30,240 includes living expenses and health insurance.
