Master’s Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering offers three specialisation tracks. The Digital Design specialisation track educates professionals with foundations in design thinking and mindset, theoretical understanding, systematic methods, and practical skills in designing products, services, and systems, including human-centric problem-solving approaches, to educate value creation leaders for smart products, services, and systems. The Digital Manufacturing specialisation track trains professionals with theoretical understanding and practical skills in the next generation of 3D printing or digital manufacturing technologies along with various traditional manufacturing technologies. In the Smart Systems specialisation track, you will have access to skills and knowledge that will enable you to design and develop cutting-edge smart technologies for a wide variety of applications and in various branches of industry.Tuition fees and scholarshipsTuition fees are charged from citizens of a country outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland. Tuition fees are not charged from citizens of EU/EEA/Switzerland nor from holders of certain residence permit types.There are no scholarships covering the tuition fee for the first year. However, you can get a 50 % scholarship based on your studies completed at the University of Turku for the next study year, if you meet the given requirements. For master's degree students there is also an Early Bird discount for the tuition fee available.
