During the studies, you will learn about different biomaterials and their uses in biomedical and dental applications, as well as the demands and modification possibilities for the material properties needed for different applications. You will learn the function and working principles of the key instruments in medical sciences. In addition, you learn about the use of sensor- and information technology in health applications, how biosignals are processed, and what restrictions they have in wireless data transfer. The Materials of Energy Technology specialisation track trains professionals with a special focus on energy materials. During the studies you will learn a general overview of the field of energy materials, focusing on renewable energy production and storage.Modern Industrial Materials specialisation track trains professionals with a special focus on selecting and characterizing materials for the needs of advanced industrial applications. During the studies, you will learn about the materials commonly used in today’s global industries, their targeted applications, as well as the demands for the material properties that the different applications require. You will learn about the typical characterization tools used to evaluate the properties of materials, both experimental and computational. In addition, you will learn about the latest trends in materials development and the techniques for materials optimization.Tuition fees and scholarshipsTuition fees are charged from citizens of a country outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or Switzerland.
