About this programme
In the Data Engineering and AI degree programme, you learn to build AI systems, train machine learning models, and design cloud data pipelines. You will move from being a technology user to becoming a data expert. The goal is to ensure you understand the entire data pipeline: how data is collected, processed, and stored (data engineering), how it is analyzed, and how it is leveraged in intelligent applications and decision-making.The extent of the Bachelor of Engineering degree programme is 240 ECTS credits and the planned duration of the studies is four years. The degree is placed on level 6 in the Finnish national qualifications framework.Employers today are looking for professionals who understand the “big picture” – people who can combine technical skills with problem-solving, collaboration and understanding of real-world contexts. Upon graduation, you will be a highly skilled data engineer with hands-on expertise in designing and developing AI and health technology solutions. Typical positions of ICT engineering graduates include Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Manager, AI Developer, AI Engineer, Project Manager, and Software Engineer.
