Lakehead University's Master of Computer Science is offered at the Thunder Bay campus in Ontario. Lakehead operates on three terms per academic year (Fall September-December, Winter January-April, Spring/Summer May-August) and requires graduate students to maintain continuous registration from initial registration until programme requirements are complete. Fees are therefore charged every term until graduation. International students pay a single flat per-term rate rather than the tiered first-three-terms structure used for domestic students. What the fee covers: the international full-time rate at the Thunder Bay campus, per term, over three terms. Lakehead's fee schedule, filtered to International / 2026-2027 / Full-Time / Thunder Bay / Computer Science, gives the Master of Computer Science panel as CAD 8,708.33 tuition plus CAD 318.25 ancillary per term, which is CAD 9,026.58 a term. Multiplying by three is Lakehead's own arithmetic: the same page states 'there are three terms in each year' and 'To estimate your annual costs you may multiply the term fee amount by three.' So tuition is CAD 26,124.99 a year, shown here as CAD 26,125, and the billed total including ancillary fees is CAD 27,079.74. Fee year: 2026-27. Before you budget: the figure excludes the mandatory University Health Insurance Plan, which the same page says international students pay in addition. UHIP for a September 2026 start is CAD 948 for 12 months (1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027), CAD 632 for a January start and CAD 316 for a May start. For a sense of how fast this moves, Lakehead's 2025-2026 master's full-time table gave international tuition of CAD 7,666.67 per term plus CAD 217.07 ancillary per term, against a tiered domestic rate of CAD 2,694.96 for the first three terms and CAD 2,446.51 afterwards — international students pay roughly three times the domestic rate, and the year-on-year rise is material on a INR 25 lakh budget.
