Business Technologies and Management is a Double Degree programme provided jointly by Haaga-Helia and Management Center Innsbruck, The Entrepreneurial School®, Austria (later MCI).Business Technologies and Management programme provides the skills and competence to work in demanding expert, development and manager positions at the crossroads of business and digital technology. Graduates become experts in the field of digital business, management and entrepreneurship, and can produce digital business solutions that meet new and demanding business needs by evaluating and utilising new digital technologies.Example positions are manager of ICT service development projects, business analyst or manager of business digitalisation projects, as well as entrepreneur in consulting and training.What makes the programme particularly interesting?Practical approach to learning: combining science with practice is a top priorityFlexibility of studies: Studies are offered as contact and online classes and as virtual courses. The programme includes a mandatory exchange period (one semester from March to July) at MCI, Austria Haaga-Helia DD students will pop into the 2nd semester of MCI´s master’s program and will have to attend all the 6 courses of the 2nd semester, 5 ECTS points each course. On top they will have to do the MCiT Research course online and they will also have to take part at the Study Tour Silicon Valley*, which is covered within the International Technology Management course, belonging to the 4th semester of MCI´s curricula. Courses at MCI are on campus, face2face lessons. Master’s program is job friendly, which means courses are from Wed noon until Sat late afternoon. There is a mandatory attendance quote of 75 %.”* The students can either take part at the real tour in Silicon Valley and go to the States for 2 weeks or attend the alternative program in order to gain the 5 ECTS points.The students will be awarded a Master of Business Administration degree from Haaga-Helia and a Master of Arts in Business degree from MCI. The degree corresponds to both the Finnish and the European Qualifications Framework for degrees and competencies.
