Master of Engineering (MEng) — Software Engineering

Concordia's MEng in Software Engineering is a course-based degree of 45 credits at the Gina Cody School in Montreal, with a normal duration of two years and a part-time option. The programme requires 16 core credits and 29 elective credits, with all core courses to be completed within the first four terms. It prepares IT professionals to apply engineering principles to software design, testing and maintenance across the full software product lifecycle. Read the entry bar carefully before you apply: 'Undergraduate degree or a graduate diploma in Software Engineering with very high standing. Applicants holding an undergraduate degree with very high standing in another discipline such as engineering, science, computer science or mathematics must have at least two years of experience in IT or related industry.' If you are a fresh computer science graduate you will generally not qualify, unless your degree is specifically in Software Engineering and your standing is very high. Concordia's Master of Applied Computer Science carries no work-experience clause and is the better fit in that case.
