About this programme
A conversion MSc introducing computer science fundamentals across software development, database design, web applications and artificial intelligence, for students with little or no computing background. The course emphasises practical, industry-ready skills using campus computer labs and partnerships with technology companies. Students complete taught modules followed by a 60-credit dissertation project. Entry requires a minimum 2:2 honours degree, or equivalent, in any subject area. What the fee covers: the international full-time rate for the 12-month programme. Fee year: 2026-27. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each band. Before you budget: the fee is International Full Time (12 months) '£18,970 in 2026/27', against UK £10,350. The placement route is a different price: International Full Time with Placement (18 months) is '£20,865 in 2026/27' — an 18-month course at a higher fee — so if you are shown £18,970, confirm which route the offer is for. Both the September 2026 and January 2027 starts carry the same fees. Entry is a 2:2 in any subject area, which makes this a true conversion route. Part-time is quoted at £1,150 per 20 credits (UK) over 20 months and is not compatible with a student visa.
