About this programme
This one-year full-time Level 9 MSc in Computing is delivered at ATU's Galway City, Dublin Road campus. It combines taught and research modules with a strong emphasis on practical skills, and students choose from nine elective modules including Machine Learning, Cloud Native Computing and Cybersecurity alongside mandatory research methods. Programming work spans languages such as Java, Python and C. The programme culminates in a 25-credit supervised research project completed over the summer. What the fee covers: the non-EU (international) postgraduate full-time rate, per year. The programme runs one year full-time, so the annual fee and the programme fee are the same. Fee year: 2025-26. English requirement as published: IELTS 6.0. Before you budget: the course page states 'Total Fees EU: EUR 6,300' and 'Total Fees Non-EU: EUR 14,000'; as an Indian student you pay the non-EU rate. On the year: the course page attaches no academic year to the fee. ATU's own postgraduate fees page labels the same figure '(2025/2026)', and its international fee policy states EUR 14,000 per annum for postgraduate on-campus study from the September 2025 intake onwards, so the fee year is recorded as 2025-26 rather than presented as a published 2026-27 rate. ATU has not published a separate 2026/27 non-EU figure, so a later intake may be charged a rate that is not yet visible. The course page confirms one year, the Galway City - Dublin Road campus, a January 2027 start and IELTS 6.0. A EUR 30 non-refundable postgraduate application fee applies. Entry requires a Level 8 major award in computing (software development) or computer engineering with significant software development experience.
