ASEAN, Pacific Island countries and Mongolia; India not eligible

Indian students are not eligible for this one. Global Affairs Canada runs SEED-2 through partnerships between Canadian post-secondary institutions and partner institutions in ASEAN member states, the Pacific Island countries and Mongolia, and India is not among them — so there is no route in, whatever your qualifications. Even for eligible countries a student never applies: the Canadian institution applies on the candidate's behalf through the My EduCanada portal. The 2026-27 application period has closed. We list it because people ask about it after seeing it elsewhere, and the useful answer is a clear no rather than a hopeful maybe.
