We haven't confirmed this year's application window, and these dates move every cycle — so we won't print one. The official page is the only reliable source. Ask us and we'll track it for you and tell you when it opens.
Eligibility
International students paying Imperial's Overseas rate of tuition, applying for a full-time undergraduate course or a SELECTED full-time postgraduate taught course in the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine or Imperial Business School. The word "selected" is the whole catch: Imperial says the course itself must be one that offers an Imperial Inspires scholarship, so holding an offer for an eligible faculty is not the same as being eligible. Imperial also says further awards for UK students are planned for later years, which means a home-fee applicant is not covered for 2027 entry.
You do not apply for this up front, and there is no separate scholarship form to find. Step one is the ordinary admissions application — UCAS for undergraduate, the My Imperial site for postgraduate taught, which opened in September 2026. Step two is by invitation: if you meet the minimum entry and eligibility requirements and an Imperial Inspires scholarship is available for your course, Imperial invites you to apply when scholarship applications open in October 2026. Undergraduate applicants are additionally invited to complete an optional essay question from October 2026. Imperial does not publish a dated closing deadline on the scholarship page itself — it points to its How to apply page for key dates — so treat the deadline as needing confirmation and apply for admission early rather than waiting for the invitation. We check whether your specific course is one of the selected ones, free.
GBP 15,000 per year, for each year of the course — Imperial states at least 300 awards for 2027 entry. Confirm the current value on the official page before you apply.
