Tuition, airfare, Korean language training fees and a monthly allowance — the four categories are named officially, the amounts are not published on the source page Fully funded
We haven't confirmed this year's application window, and these dates move every cycle — so we won't print one. The official page is the only reliable source. Ask us and we'll track it for you and tell you when it opens.
Eligibility
You must be under 40, hold a bachelor's or master's degree, and have maintained an average GPA of at least 80% in your most recent programme. Both you and both of your parents must hold non-Korean citizenship, which Indian applicants satisfy. India is a designated country for the programme, so Indian citizens meeting the criteria can apply on the same terms as any other eligible nationality.

Two routes, and you choose one rather than both. The EMBASSY TRACK is applied for through the Korean Embassy in your country of citizenship and carries 800 of the 2,000 places; you may name up to three universities and at least one must be Type B — 35 institutions are Type A (Seoul National, Yonsei, Korea University, KAIST, POSTECH, UNIST, GIST, DGIST, Sungkyunkwan, Hanyang, the KDI School and others) and 41 are Type B. The UNIVERSITY TRACK is applied for directly to a designated university and carries the rest: General 160, R-GKS 480, Research 5, International Organization 72, plus two specialisations — R&D with 403 places for science and engineering, and Global Network with 80 master's places taught mainly in English and WITHOUT the Korean language training year. A master's runs two years and a doctorate three, after one year of language training where the track includes it. The government publishes the month of each stage and not the date: announcement in February, applications February to March, review April to June, results in June. Graduate applications therefore open in FEBRUARY, which is the next live round. We help you line the GKS application up against your university admission — free.
