Eligibility

Edinburgh runs several international awards rather than one, and the one written for India is the India Merit Scholarship — £5,000 towards tuition for the strongest postgraduate taught Master's applicants from India studying on campus. Across the Edinburgh Global awards the academic bar is the overseas equivalent of a UK first class honours degree, and eligibility is limited to full-time, one-year, on-campus taught Master's programmes; online and part-time study is funded through a separate scheme. Edinburgh also participates in GREAT Scholarships, for which India is an eligible country.

How to apply

Which award you are after decides this, so establish it first: some are applied to your tuition balance automatically once you hold an offer, while others need an online scholarship application of their own. Each carries its own closing date, usually well before the programme starts. Assuming you have been considered automatically when the award in fact needed a form is the common and unrecoverable error.
