Open to every subject area with no restriction by nationality or country of ordinary residence, which makes it one of the few Oxford awards an Indian applicant competes for on entirely equal terms. All full-time DPhil and Master's courses qualify, provided you apply by the December or January deadline that applies to your course. An excellent academic record is essential — most successful scholars hold at least a first class honours degree or its overseas equivalent.
Nothing separate to submit: applying for your course by the relevant December or January deadline is the application. That deadline is the whole game here, and it is the one thing entirely within your control — a strong candidate who applies in a later gathering field is simply not considered, however good the record. Over 200 new scholarships are awarded across the University each year.
