Eligibility
New self-funded international-fee-status students starting a full-time, on-campus Masters at the Aberdeen campus in academic year 2026/27 or 2027/28. It applies to both taught and research Masters. You are NOT eligible if you are fully sponsored, or hold a fully funded external scholarship, or hold another University of Aberdeen scholarship — the one exception being awards from the University of Aberdeen Development Trust. It does not apply to the DPLP, PGDE or Dentistry, and it is not available for online or off-campus study.
There is no application. Aberdeen states the award is applied automatically to every eligible student and appears on the CAS, which matters because the CAS fee is what a Student visa application evidences — so the waiver reduces the tuition you must show funds for. The university publishes the award as available until further notice rather than against a deadline. Watch how Aberdeen quotes fees on its programme pages: the lower of the two international figures already has this GBP 8,000 deducted, so comparing that number against another university’s full fee understates the gap.
