We haven't confirmed this year's application window, and these dates move every cycle — so we won't print one. The official page is the only reliable source. Ask us and we'll track it for you and tell you when it opens.
Eligibility
Open to non-EU/EEA citizens on an English-taught bachelor's or master's programme — the applicants who are liable for tuition in the first place. EU and EEA citizens are explicitly not eligible, because they pay no tuition and the award is a fee waiver. The Aalto University Excellence Scholarship is merit-based and granted competitively to the highest-achieving applicants against each programme's own evaluation criteria, and the number is very limited: a programme may decide to grant none at all in a given year.
There is no separate scholarship application. If you are a non-EU/EEA applicant liable for tuition, the scholarship application sits inside the admission application form, so applying for the course is applying for the award. Aalto runs two separate schemes split by when your right to study started, and the terms differ between them — check which one applies to your intake.
Full tuition fee waiver (Aalto University Excellence Scholarship). Confirm the current value on the official page before you apply.
