MPOWER Financing loan for international students
MPOWER lends to international students for study in the US and Canada with no collateral and no co-signer, in US dollars. Both halves of that matter: it solves the co-signer problem, and it hands you currency risk in exchange.

This rate was read from the lender's own page 61 days ago, on 1 August 2026 — which is longer ago than we are comfortable with, so confirm it with the lender. US/Canada only, USD-denominated (FX risk). Note: MPOWER reported reaching funding capacity for 2026 — we confirm current availability before referring you.
Check availability before you plan around it
The note above is carried from our lender record and is shown on /loans too. A lender that has reached funding capacity is not a fallback, and discovering that in July with an August intake is the worst possible time to find out.
- Confirm current availability directly before treating this as your plan.
- Have a second option in progress rather than waiting on this one.
- Check your institution is covered.
Dollar-denominated, and what that means
- Your repayment is fixed in dollars, whatever the rupee does.
- If you stay and earn in dollars, the exposure disappears.
- If you return to India, it runs for the whole repayment — model the EMI at a weaker rupee and check it is still affordable.
No co-signer is a genuine advantage for a family without one. It is not a reason to prefer this over a rupee loan you could actually get, because the currency exposure is a real cost even when it is invisible on the day you sign.
