About this programme
Goethe University's Master of Science in Management Science caters to ambitious Bachelor's graduates striving for an international career. We have designed a programme that will ensure a unique learning experience and ideal job market opportunities. Our faculty is committed to establish the Master's in Management Science as a premier management programme in Europe that shall attain top positions in international rankings. Take the opportunity to study a demanding degree programme taught by committed and research-driven professors and high-profile practitioners. Our lecturers apply state-of-the-art teaching methods and encourage you to examine challenging real-world problems. Together with students from all around the globe, this Master's programme offers a unique experience. It is the perfect stepping stone for an international career. Around 70 percent of our Management Science students have an international background, creating a special study and learning atmosphere. The features of the programme: Class intake is limited to 42 students, in order to foster close collaboration among students and with faculty. There is a maximum of freedom and flexibility in combining courses from all fields of management and business administration. (There are no obligatory modules.) The curriculum is taught in English. Students can also select up to four modules taught in German. Management Module Students need to take at least one module (lecture or seminar) in management. Elective modules Students can choose up to 12 modules from the following fields: Accounting Finance Information Management (Business Informatics) Marketing Analytics Seminars Students choose two seminars from the areas above. Seminars provide the chance to conduct your own research by writing a seminar thesis, which has to be defended in a presentation. Ethics module Students have to choose one module from the field of business ethics. This enables our students to act as responsible leaders. Master's thesis In their final year, students write their Master's theses. The Master's thesis is an independent piece of academic research. Students are allowed to write their theses in cooperation with public or private institutions / corporations.
