You must be under 25, hold a high school or associate degree qualification, and have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 80% in your most recent programme. You and both of your parents must hold non-Korean citizenship, which Indian applicants satisfy. Korea selects roughly 500 undergraduate and associate-degree grantees a year across every participating country, against around 2,000 at graduate level — so this is the considerably tighter of the two GKS competitions.
Two routes and you pick one: the Embassy Track, through the Korean Embassy in your country of citizenship, or the University Track, direct to one of the designated universities. Budget an extra year either way — the award includes a year of Korean language training before the degree begins, so a four-year bachelor's is a five-year commitment.
